The History Of Cannabis Prohibition In America

Timeline Style Presentation Of Cannabis Prohibition History In USA

Ezekiel 47:12 "And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine."
The first thing I decided to look into when putting together this timeline style blog on the history of Cannabis prohibition in the United States, was to find out a couple of things: 1) Did Cannabis ever grow wild in the United States? & 2) When did Cannabis arrive in the U.S.? According to the Department Of Agriculture in 1914, "Cannabis is abundant as a wild plant in many localities in western Missouri, Iowa, and in southern Minnesota, and is often found as a roadside weed throughout the Mid-West."[1] This tells us that there was wild Cannabis growing in the United States, however because of the fact that the majority of people living in this country were not indigenous(Native Americans), they were unaware of the wild ethnobotanicals that inhabit this land. For this reason, Americans hadn't really caught on to the fact that the greatest medicine/narcotic on the planet was literally growing on the side of busy roads. According to PBS: "After the Mexican Revolution of 1910, Mexican immigrants flooded into the U.S., introducing to American culture the recreational use of marijuana. The drug became associated with the immigrants, and the fear and prejudice about the Spanish-speaking newcomers became associated with marijuana."[2] Again, despite the fact that it grew on road sides right under everyones noses, most Americans didn't find out about Cannabis until these Mexican immigrants introduced them to the drug, and America fell in love quick!
Also in 1914, the El Paso ordinance was passed, which basically divided, and gave racist authorities the ability to go after Mexicans.[9][16] Some argue that the date is misreported as 1914.[9][16] I had an old neighbor who told me stories about picking Marihuana off the sides of the rail road tracks as a young adult. Back in these days(in the early 1900's), Cannabis was referred to as: Marihuana(a Mexican name for the drug), but it was also known as Hemp, Mary Jane, Mary Warner, and by a variety of other terms.[3] I'm not sure how the H was turned into a J, but the original spelling for the plant is Marihuana. It's my favorite name for the drug. I'm very curious about other slang names from older days, and the 1900's, the 1930's especially, fascinate me to no end. Also during this period, in 1914 morphine became restricted to prescription only, and later became even more illegal in 1970.[17] In 1924 the first laws against heroin were passed[18], but later In 1970, heroin was banned completely.[17] "In 1914, the Harrison Narcotic Act outlawed cocaine in the United States and usage declined throughout the 1940s through the 1960s".[19]
[1915-1929] Did you know that America was founded in 1776?[31] The FDA wasn't founded until June 30, 1906.[29] The FBI was invented in July 26, 1908.[30] From 1776 to 1908 is a difference of 132 years! From 1776 to 1906 is a difference of 130 years! From 1908 to 2025 is only 117 years! That means that as of 2025, for more than half of American history, there was no FDA or FBI. The other agencies, CIA, NSA, ATF, DEA, all came into being not long later, also during the 1900's. I talk about those more further down the page, and cite sources there to prove those claims as well. When I say the 1900's, I mean the period of time from 1900-1999.
The early 1900's were a time when the America that the founding fathers had in mind, was at its last breath. The socialist moved in, and have slowly and systematically, decade by decade, eroded away nearly all systems of free enterprise revolving around certain natural medicines in this country.. They've also used their social fear mongering style of warfare to weasle their way around every law set in place by the founding fathers that was put there to protect and preserve freedom in our country. Their anti-drug campaigns have led to the founding of new government agencies, all of which were birthed during the 1900's, all of which are thorough violations of rules set in place by the founding fathers, and all of which are the type of government over-reach that JFK warned of just prior to his assassination, during his last speech.[35] The FBI, DEA, ATF, CIA, NSA, and others, are all terrorizing, robbing, and destroying America. In the next paragraph, I'll share with you the evidence, as cited from scholarly sources, to illustrate that what I just stated in this paragraph, is true. Before we move on to that next paragraph however, I want to share a few more modern news stories to illustrate how all of this socialist bafoonery that took place in the early 1900's has led to a prostitution-demic, and drug theft-demic, that's going on right now in the DEA, Police, and FBI: NBCNEWS.com DEA Agents Held Sex Parties Linked To Drug Cartels, DEA.gov Deputies Steal over 600 pounds of Marijuana!, CBSNEWS: MN Cop Gets 3 Years For Stealing Drugs During Traffic Stops You can learn much more about this on 850.NEWS, where I share tons more evidence, cite scholarly sources, and share eye witness testimony as well. The SRCSO, DEA, and FBI did this to me, by entrapping me with another entrepreneurs product shipped to me with my name on it, so they could steal it, fund their illegal prostitution operations, and then try to pin it on me. They've been exposed. There are prostitutes in the PEnsacola FBI pretending to be federal agents. They pretend to investigate crimes they're actually involved in, and cover them up that way, as well as divert and b.s. the other agents to help keep things hidden.
"The Federal Bureau Of Narcotics(FBN) was created in 1930, and it marked the inception of an integrated domestic and foreign narcotic control program in the US."[10] This was a time that marked the early stages of a plot to slowly ruin America, and flip it upside down like the satanist do with the cross, for good. Harry Jacob Anslinger, or Pennsylvania, was the commissioner of narcotics from 1930 to 1962.[10] This was also a time when the pharmaceutical industry was really starting to take off in America, or as one source puts it: "Medical research had received relatively little attention and support in the United States in the nineteenth century. During the first quarter of this century, however, the situation improved dramatically. Reforms in medical education and an increased interest in research in the medical schools, the creation of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, and the funds made available for health research by private foundations such as the Rockefeller Foundation and the Commonwealth Fund are examples of the growing recognition of the importance of research in the medical sciences"[11] The title of the scholarly source that I just quoted that last statement from, is in reference to a period from 1920-1940 specifically.[11] This illustrates a socialist motive to ban Marijuana. Because Cannabis is was something people can grow theirself, and because it is medicine(and has been for centuries), America discovering it was a major bummer for drug manufacturers who want to make money selling pharmaceuticals. Americas entire war on drugs really started during this period, as these agencies(as the motive would suggest), appear to be the socialist attempting to prevent any potential competition for their "medicines"(pharmaceuticals). It was an attack on America, the bill of rights, and free enterprise. Basically, the cheaters moved in, and the rigging began.
Cab Calloway was a popular Jazz musician in the 1930's.[13][14][15] He performed a song called "Have You Ever Met That Funny Reefer Man" in 1932.[13][14][15] I share this to further illustrate that smoking Marihuana quickly became part of American culture during this period. It's very similar to what's going on with Kratom.
Harry Anslinger was relentless, and carried on with his mission and war on America, taking it to the next level. "The Uniform State Narcotic Drug Act in 1934 was implemented due to the lack of restrictions in the Harrison Act of 1914."[26][27] "The Harrison Act of 1914 was a revenue-producing act and, while it provided penalties for violations, it did not give authority to the states to exercise police power regarding either seizure of drugs used in illicit trade or punishment of those responsible"[26][27] This just illustrates how the socialist use drugs to systematically erode away sovernty, independence, like how states have the right to make their own laws, and countries have the right to their independence as well. Anslinger was the guy who helped the U.N. integrate their efforts, and took prohibition from the USA, to the U.N., thus banning it globally.[9] Similar to the Kratom war raging, when Harry Anslinger first proposed this Narcotic Act, only 9 states signed on... Florida was one of those 9 states..[9] "The Harrison Narcotics Tax Act was a federal law in the United States in 1914, that regulated and taxed the manufacturing, importation, and distribution of opiates and coca products."[28] This marked the start of a serpent medical(big pharma) takeover of the worlds most well known and cherished ethnobotanicals. The propaganda and demonization against these God-given rights began, and generations to come were brainwashed, as the socialist molded public opinion to that of a bunch of slanderous lies.
One of my favorite pieces of American history from 1934 is in the clips that I'm about to share. I uploaded them to my YouTube for the sake of further preserving history. I'm citing and linking to the Internet Movie Database Page for the performance.[4][5] It was a Broadway/Hollywood production,(a musical) in the early 1930's(1934 specifically), called "Murder At The Vanities", starring Gertrude Michael, who is an amazing singer and American actress.[4][5] In the film she performs a song called "Sweet Marihuana", where she is backed by a bunch of talented Mexican musicians.. Gertrude Michael was born on June 1, 1911, and died on Dec 31, 1964.[6] She was 23 years old in the video below! Cannabis was first outlawed in the United States in 1937, so she was 26 when this happened![7] If you want to hear the full song in much higher quality, Here it is: Sweet Marihuana(Gertrude Michael 1934) Three years after this performance(the one seen below), the plant was banned.[7]

We have to discuss the Mayor of New York at the time, and his role in being one of the best examples of American patriots IN AMERICAN HISTORY, and a real politician, and personal hero of mine. He was Mayor Fiorello La Guardia, and he served as the 99th Mayor of New York from January 1, 1934 – January 1, 1946.[36] In response to Harry Anslinger and the globalist at the U.N.'s agenda to wipe out natural medicines that heavily compete with the rise of serpent medical(big pharma), Mayor Guardia did not buy his propaganda, and decided to set out to disprove all of it.[37][9] Mayor Guardia formed a committee tasked at conducting scientific research into all of the claims made on Reefer Madness, and by Mr. Anslinger and his socialist regime, thus he was able to one by one disprove every single lie being spread.[37][9][45]
On this note, and keeping what you read in the previous paragraph in mind, I want to point out the fact that the Nazi's in WWII used propaganda films on their people![38] Isn't it interesting that this same style of social warfare was used on the American people to brainwash them into supporting prohibition? Prohibition is the globalization of pharmaceuticals, and the outlawing of independent indigenous economies built on natural medicine(ie ethnobotanicals, like Marijuana). It's financial and medical slavery, a form of bondage to the serpent on the U.N., W.H.O., and on the side of the ambulance.. Based on the news, I'd say that the Nazi's and other socialist occult groups are the ones behind these propaganda films that were pushed on un-suspecting Americans: NBCNEWS.com FBI Discovers Cache Guns, Armor, & Nazi Paraphernalia After Raiding Home In Washington (June 2, 2025)
In 1936, the socialist launched a propaganda campaign against the minds of Americans called Reefer Madness.[9][20][21][22][23][24] This is where the idea that Marijuana makes people crazy first came from, and the lie lives on to this day. I even cite a source on another blog here somewhere(an academic source) that says there's no link between cannabis use and psychosis.[44] As the decades marched forward, the socialist propaganda evolved to spreading more and more ridiculous claims.[9] I've embedded some of Reefer madness below for you to see, and will cite at the end of this sentence the IMDB link to its corresponding page.[25][45]
Sadly, the socialist decided to choose a U.S. Veteran as their first victim of the global war on indigenous naturally occuring medicine(ethnobotanicals).[9][39] Exactly one day after the Marijuana Tax Act went into effect, Samuel R. Caldwell was arrested, on October 2, 1937, in the Lexington Hotel in Denver, Colorado.[9][39] Ironic that the first Cannabis arrest was in the same state that was the first to legalize recreational use. Beware that "legalize" is socialist slang for "control further". He was released from prison in 1940.[39] Caldwell died one year later, on June 24, 1941 and is buried in Mount Pleasent Cemetary in Erie, Colorado.[9][39] This is no way to treat a human being, especially a U.S. Veteran. Interesting that U.S. citizens are not punished for taking narcotics made by serpent medical(big pharma), but are for taking narcotics made by God(ethnobotanicals). They have systematically brainwashed Christians and Jews to be their flying monkies. Kudo's to the ones who are still smart, and have the balls to have their own opinions about things, rather than being a brain dead wind up doll for the enemy. "Authorities" in America, are victims of "group think", a phrase used in the study of psychology to describe what Penn State University Describes As: "A process of flawed decision making that occurs as a result of strong pressures among group members to reach agreement"[40] Despite the fact that I back these statements up with credible academic sources, there will still be a bunch of idiots in the local government who lie, thinking that they're being honest and intelligent, and call these facts "fake news", and it is GroupThink that makes this level of stupidity possible. The Nazi's in WWII were victims of "Group Think" as well. I want all righteous authorities to do research on American history, and the prohibition of Cannabis, and you'll see that you were wrong the entire time. It's time for patriots to smarten up, or as the bible puts it: Be as wise as a serpent I lay everything out here, but they'll ignore it, because of Group Think. If the majority is stupid, than the sheep followers will be stupid as well.
Harry Anslinger can be described as a globalist, being that his intentions were not in the best interest of America, nor were his intentions in alignment with what the majority of Americans wanted. Anslinger's interest was in serving the globalist at the United Nations, and World Health Organization, as well as those of the Rockefellers, as previously pointed out in one of the paragraphs above, and the booming pharmaceutical industry that was just starting to emerge at the time.[11] You have to consider the history of things in order to make a judgement about something being presented to you in modern times as a fact. What does the history suggest? Anslinger decided it was time to escalate his efforts, and went to the United Nations with his Narcotic Control Act of 1956.[41][43] In 1961, the The Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs Act Of 1961 passed at the United Nations.[42] Just like that, the drug was banned in over 100 nations, violating their nations sovernty, ignoring the will of the people, violating Gods rules, and allowing socialist to steal property, ruin lives, and derive sadistic satisfaction from stealing, killing, and destroying, or as the head of the Commander Of The Detective Beauro, Culver City Police Department, Culver City California at the time, Robert M. Conland, from the documentary Grass: The History Of Marijuana puts it: "I get a lot of self satisfaction from arresting those people."[9] This is the attitude of the typical modern narcissistic grandiose "authority" figures. It's more about narcissism than defending America. They're not defending America, they're offending America while serving idols, including the five pointed star, the serpent on the U.N. emblem, the W.H.O. emblem, and on the side of the ambulance.
Did you know that the DEA wasn't even invented until 1973?.[12] Sense America was founded in 1776, that would mean that from 1776 to 1973 is 197 years! America went 197 years without a DEA! The natural drugs that the DEA polices(or these days STEALS), have been used by human beings all across the world for thousands of years, safely too. There are pharmaceutical versions of all of these illegal ethnobotanical-derived drugs too, like opiates, and coca synthesized drugs are used in dentistry, and then there's Cannabis that's being used by drug companies..[32][33][34]
I had previously stated that George Bush made it possible for the government to seize your land, verbally, to many people, and my source for that was the Grass Documentary: The History Of Marijuana.[9] It's at the very end of the documentary, right before Gertrude Michael sings 'sweet marahuana'. Upon digging further, it would appear that I slightly misunderstood. Bush simply piled on to the already established policy. The documentary actually states how he appended to the previous rule, basically. President Ronald Reagan is credited with being the first president to establish laws making it possible for the government to seize property used by drug dealers.[46] The name of the law was the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986.[46] George Bush Sr. was the next president after Raegan. Anyway, from this point on in American history, the government started scooping up American citizens land and property. These are Nazi policies, and they were not the way of government for the vast majority of American history. America was founded in 1776, so 1986 and 1776 is a difference of: 210 years. 210 years into American history, the government started stealing property over drugs(ones that compete with big pharma(serpent medical). The difference between 2025 and 1986 is 39 years! That means for only 39 years has the government been stealing property of citizens involved in drug manufacturing and distribution! This could be something as petty as a pot plant growing in your bushes!. George bush Sr and his son were both skull and bones members[x], and the skull and bones emblem is an emblem(graven image[see exodus 20:4]) that the Nazi's wore on their helmets in WWII. As of 2025, America is 249 years old.
I want to cite Mayor Guardia's efforts, as he formed a Committee to study Marijuana and see if it really was that harmful.[37] The researchers disproved every bogus claim, including and especially the one about Cannabis use being linked to psychosis and mental illness.[37] A combination of that, recorded history, and observation, dictates that any claims about Cannabis use being linked to "psychosis" are lies, including the ones coming from "scholarly sources". I cite scholarly sources all the time, but Cannabis has been heavily slandered sense the start, and we know from history, observation, and past studies, coupled with common sense and intelligence, that there's no link between Marijuana and mental illness. In fact, Cannabis has been proven to treat PTSD(mental illness).[44] The socialist are launching whole new waves of propaghanda against Cannabis. The occult(freemasons, neo nazi's, and satanic temple) are all selling genetically engineered product that's been laced with synthetic THC, passing it off as "real", lacing it with known FDA approved neurotoxins like proplyene glycol, and other crap... They're telling everyone that "thc" causes brain fog, when it's the poison being added to the product, and the GMO nature of it that is causing brain fog. 3chi lied on the phone and told me this, and other companies as well. Liars. At this point. I'm praying for a storm because "authorities" in this country, are not worth a crap. They're not helping, nor do they have any intention in doing so. They're only after narcissistic supply. They've been taught that accountability is not for them, that they're above everyone else. This is why they behave so haughty and grandiose. Hell awaits these pretend hero's and their socialist "group think" bafoonery. Real patriots these days are rare, and it appears to me that most patriots don't work for the government.
